"Al-Qaeda which sees Somaliland as sratigic land where it can launch attacks on Djibouti and Ethiopia is funding thousands of dollars to fuel the conflict among the Somaliland political parties," Western diplomat who had collected informations about Al-Qaeda interests in horn of Africa region told Waagacusub Media.

The diplomat who rejected to be named pointed out that Al-Qaeda's is how to make the current dispute between Somaliland government and its opposition parties into face of tribalism so as the local clan take their weapons for fighting.

"earlier Al-Qaeda carried out suicide attacks in Somaliland to disturb the elections for the presidency and now is using the businessmen and other intelecuals to cause tribal violance," he said adding that if the government arrest one of the oppositions leaders it will happen that his clan men will engage war with the government.

the Western diplomat warned any Al-Qeada attempt to bring choas in Somaliland and called for the public to keep the sustainbility of their peace.
