The Website is famous for not drafting anything an ordinary, or anything which violates the rules of Journalism but writes the up-to-date.

“I have written a letter to the government of Addis Abba, and asked them to avoid oppressing the free media, and we are very much optimistic that they will allow the clients of the Website to freely have access in visiting Mareeg.com Web page because it works for the Somali people” said the Chairman of the Association of Somali Journalists Mr. Dahir Abdulle Alasow.

The Chairman also added that the Website only publishes independent and reliable news in both Somali and English, this has compelled some countries in the world to attack the Website while some countries, have denied access to its visitors.

“It can happen that Ethiopia could not endure, the news in English which Mareeg.com writes about Somalia which is universally quoted by the international news agencies, on the other hand there are some groups who fight in Somalia particularly the Al-Shababs and some other business tycoons who invest their money on the radicals Al-Shabab who have spread virus into W Web page” said Dahir Alasow the Chairman of ASOJ.

The chairman of ASOJ was asked how he can prove that the government of Ethiopia has denied access for Mareeg.com clients cannot visit the Webpage he said that they have agents in Addis Ababa.

Ethiopia and Somalia are in the top of the list in the countries where the independent journalists are cruelly dealt with, in the past two years several of Somali journalist were killed, several others severely wounded, while number of others have fled from the country for security grounds.

Journalists are not killed in Ethiopia, but the government Meles Zinawi is indirectly involved in the press, and does not want the crimes against humanity which its troops in Somalia are committing to be published.

Africa is generally on the verge to rule its countries in democracy, and in the 21st centaury it has developed faster and obtained media which is both listening and visual, which have eliminated the government owned press which were merely airing the interest of that very rule, but not the interest of that population in that specific country.
