Somali parliament didn't hold its formal or informal
meetings since last Ramadan month because of security
problems and frequent wars that Somali TFG is in with
the rebel groups fighting in Somalia to topple the UN-backed
Somali government which controls only few blocks in
the city apart from key locations like airport, seaport
and presidential palace which are under heavy protection
of AMISOM, an African peacekeeping force in Mogadishu.
Although the schedule agenda of the session was due
to be heating relating to some key issues, Mr. Salah
Badbado, a Somali Mp addressing to Mogadishu based media
told that non-attendance of the house speaker and also
inadequate carom of Mps were the main factors of the
postponement of today's gathering.
He told that the speaker of the parliament had given
unnecessary leaves to some Mps so that the remaining
parliamentarians might not proceed their today's session.
Somali parliament had only one day of official gathering
for the last four months
