the security situation of Yaqshiid Nieghbourhoods in
Mogadishu somalia where had severely been shelled late
yesterday returned calm today
Yesterday's indiscriminate shelling - like previous
blind shellings which caused civilian causulties - claimed
the lives of twenty civilians and left forty others
wounded. since somali civil war started, targeting residential
areas and causing human and property loss became the
nature of warring parts in somalia and no one was held
accountable for the carnage in somalia.
the reliable sources from the north side of the city
suggest that remaining people in the shelled areas are
today engaged in the burial of the ones who perished
in the shelling
on the other hand, there is widespread displacement
going on in the north of the city because the shelling
that lasted for nearly three hours was unbearable and
caused a bad havoc on the residents of the taregeted
areas
